Great part-time job for graduate students in education (via Albert)

The Center for Social Justice at Georgetown University is looking for a half-time coordinator for its DC Reads program, an early literacy program that recruits and trains Georgetown students to serve as tutors for local schools. We are looking to fill this position by late August. See here for description and how to apply.

**apologies for the light posting. We have been on vacation, studying for comps, or playing my favorite DC summer sport; think-tank softball!

We promise that posting will resume shortly.

  • If you want to see some stunning displays of athleticism, the Think Tank League softball tournament is tomorrow, on the Mall. Starting on the open green space between the Washington Monument and WWII Memorial at 9:30.

If that's too much softball for ya, you could just show up for the finals at 3:15 at Ohio and Independence (Between Lincoln and FDR), to cheer against The Heritage Foundation (or, er, um... *for* whoever else happens to be playing them).
